10. Charlene Wittstock
Charlene Wittstock used to be a backstroke swimmer. She competed at the 2000 Olympics as a member of the women’s 4x100m medley for South Arica, they finished 5th. Now Charlene is married to Prince Albert II, the sovereign of Monaco.
9. Dara Torres
American Swimmer and winner of 12 Olympics Medals (4 gold). She is the first American Swimmer to compete in 4 Olympics Games and in 2008 at the age of 41 she was the oldest swimmer to earn a place in the U.S. olympic theme.
8. Ranomi Kromowidjojo
New talent from the Netherlands, only 20 years old and won a lot of gold medals in 2010 on the EC and WC.
7. Inge de Bruin
Dutch Inge de Bruin won 3 gold medals on the Olympics in 2000. She also won gold in 2004. She is the most successful Dutch athletes at the Olympics.
6. Natalie Coughlin
American Swimmer, in her career she won 11 medals at the Olympics.
5. Haley Cope
Haley Cope competed on the Olympics in 2004, she earned a silver medal by swimming in the prelims of the 400 medley. Not the most successful swimming career, but she did pose for Playboy magazine
4. Stephanie Rice
Australian swimmer, very successful on the Olympics in 2008 in Bejing. She won 3 gold medals.
3. Laure Manaudou
Laure Manaudou was a French swimmer and successful on the Olympics and the European Championships. In 2004 she won 3 medals on the Olympics in Athens, including one gold on the 400 meter freestyle. In 2007 nude pictures of Laure Manaudou appeared on the internet. It was claimed that her ex boyfriends (also a swimmer), Luca Marin, posted these very explicit pictures.
2. Amanda Beard
Next to being a very successful swimmer, Amanda Beard, also earns money as a model. At the age of 15 she debuted at the Olympics, she won 2 silver and 1 golden medal.
1. Federica Pellegrini
The current star of female swimming is the Italian Federica Pellegri, next to being super successful, she is also super hot, and she knows it!
